NPA Act,Reporting
deepak_sadana at 11:43 p.m. on 07 April 12
Dear Sir,

Please reply whether the banks need to report NPA to any external/internal agency once they have declared the account as NPA in their books. If yes, whether inspection of these is available to account holders?

Can the bank continue to charge interest and other charges in the account after NPA declaration and book the profits in their yearly accounts?

Is there any time period within which proceedings under Sec 13(2) should be started after NPA declaration?

In my case the bank didn't inform me that my account is NPA and continued to charge interest for two years and now they have come up with proceedings under securitization act stating that the account was NPA 2 years earlier.

pls suggest... with suitable judgements/RBI directives if any.
