I'm seeking guidance from my learned friends whether protection of women from Domestic violence act(PWDVA) is applicable in scheduled / agency areas of Andhra Pradesh. This is keeping in mind section 1(3)(b) of CPC which limits application of CPC in tribal areas. Similarly if PWDVA is a civil law , will it be applicable. if not what are the mechanism available to tribal women ?

This Act is a Central Act.It is applicable to all the states expect J&k
