after 2 years of marriage husband started consuming alcohol, and started abusing his wife. after that wife left him and the husband filed a petition for restitution of conjugaL rights. wife agrees the decree of court, but after that refuses to cohabit. and files for the grant of maintenance. hence husband file a petition for divorce.

firstly whether divorce is allowed or not you can still ask for maintenance as this is your legal right
now if you have any valid reason or apprehension to go back then you can fight the divorce petition on that ground as the law does not let any one take the advantage of his or her own wrong doings.
